Founders’ Day awards nominations are open! There are many well-qualified people and groups to recognize for their service, skills, and contributions to the wider APHS community: the students, the school, the PTSA, educators, support staff, and more! Outstanding Educator – Awarded to an APHS teacher who has supported children, education, and PTA
Outstanding Program – For the program that expresses the mission and vision of PTA since last Founders Day
Distinguished Service – Recognizes an APHS PTSA member who has gone above and beyond
Outstanding Business Partner – To thank businesses that support APHS or APHS PTSA and the goals of PTA
Outstanding Support Personnel – Recognizing an APHS staff member (non-teacher) who gives extra effort to the school community
Outstanding Student – Recognizes a high school student for service and leadership efforts to make APHS a better place
PTA Council Member – Recognizes a PTA Council member for exemplary service and leadership efforts in Allen Park PTA Council
Michigan Lifetime Membership – Recognizes a person who has supported the mission and vision of PTA throughout his or her lifetime through volunteerism and/or professional work
Please turn in your nominations in a sealed envelope to Mrs. Demorow in the main office by Friday, Dec. 7 at 3 pm.
All are welcome to attend the PTSA meeting on Monday, Dec. 10 where members will be voting for this year’s honorees!

The Varsity Football Team won their 2nd district championship in the last 3 years beating league rival Trenton 28-22 Friday Night. The Jags will host Detroit MLK High School Friday, November 9th at 7PM with a Regional Championship on the line.

Saturday, November 3, 2018 the Allen Park High School Music Department will be having their Annual Pancake Breakfast starting at 8:00 am until 12:00 pm. Tickets are $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for seniors and children.

Our 2018 Lady Jags defeated Wyandotte 3-0 in the District Finals last night! This is the programs 6th straight District title. In addition, the girls’ wrapped up a share of the Downriver League title posting a 12-1 league record. The team now advances to Regional play at Edsel Ford High School with their first game schedule on November 6th starting at 5PM. Team members include: Gabriella Chadwick, Abigail Slate, Gianna Tiberia, Gwen Ruetz, Braelyn McCalister, Emelia Mihuc, Ava Mangiapane, Emily Stetz, Katie Braun, Ella Bailey, Kylie Laginess, Julia Beaudrie and Bethany Posey. Coaches: Kelsey Ferla, Megan Johnson and Head Coach Chris Bozman

Wanna join the APHS Competitive Cheer team? Well here is your chance!
There is a Mandatory Parent meeting on November 1st at 6pm in the cafeteria. On Monday, November 5th there will be a Try-out Clinic from 5:30 pm-8:00 pm. Official tryouts are held the following day, Tuesday, November 6th from 5:30 pm- 8:00 pm. All tryouts will be held in the APHS Multiplex. Tryouts are open to all grades. COMPETTIVE CHEER-1borwku
